Disable Network Adapter in Windows

We often needs to prohibit network, but we do not want to unplug cable or close the router connected. Follow these steps listed in this post, we can close network adapter in windows anytime. Here I test it in Windows 7, If you are using windows xp, you can get the same position by right-click Computer from the desktop icon (My Computer).

1. Click Start, then Right-click Computer, Select Manage

2. Click Network adapters in the right column

All the system adapters will be found in the list unless it has not been installed.

Right-click the adapter name, and select Disable in the pop menu. When you want to enable it, just locate here in the same way.
